Do you prefer SSE?

Signed English language or Sign Supported English (SSE) was developed in the 1970’s as a way to teach English to children who were deaf. (It is not to be mistaken for British Sign Language (BSL)) SSE is not a language in its own right but combines sign language and spoken English and is based on spoken English and has similar syntax and grammatical rules.

If SSE is your preferred method of communication then we have experienced lipspeakers who can provide this to suit. Please ensure you clearly state your preferences on the booking form/email so that we send you a suitably qualified lipspeaker. Please note-not all lipspeakers can use sign language.

Hourly Rate from £25-40 per hour depending on the nature of the job, minimum 3 hour booking
Half day rate is from £150      Full day rate from £250-300 - Plus any travel expenses
